Screenwriting

We learned about character. The character should engage with the audience and should have a goal. When building our own character, we should know them inside out, from what underwear she or he are wearing to what he or she does alone and with people.

Andy was teaching us about game shows. We learned that the two key components of a successful game show is the host and the end game.  Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is a great example, It's easy to understand, it's intense, and interesting. The host Chris Tarrant  knows the game inside out and literally knows the answers these are traits of a good host. The host should not have a condescending attitude.

Friday

We had Simon "the sound guy" all day. We went outside to record mock interviews, we rotated so each of us got a shot. That's what i love about this course, we learn practically.  It gives me a better understanding.

         Screenwriting

Heart to heart session, our classed gathered in a circle and offloaded things we needed to change about ourselves and we also had to come up with a theme that would deal with this problem. One of my problems was to keep my mouth shut in certain situations and my theme was can't quite remember. The whole point of it was to see if we could fit the theme into a story idea.

        Content Origination 1

We were watching shorts and short shorts, that might be confusing read over it a few times. anyway they were inspiring, and was so inspiring to me that i wrote up a short short the next morning. The whole point in most of these shorts is to show skills of the people who are making them for example a cinematographer would focus on his part of the job to make the picture look good even if the story makes little sense, to add to a show reel.
